Annual Reports

2025

2025 marks a year of momentum, as six years of intentional groundwork began to take visible shape. After a period of recalibration in 2024, the Village returned with clarity, stepping more fully into itself as a living ecosystem of feminist practice. Throughout the year, women and girls gathered, connected, and organized through Tukul Nuswan, Feminist Talking Circles, and convenings that wove together generations, stories, and shared visions of change. At the same time, our voices traveled further. Gender Talk 211 moved onto national television, bringing women’s leadership into public space, while our research on technology-facilitated gender-based violence opened new conversations about digital safety and justice. These shifts unfolded alongside cultural work, regional feminist engagement, and partnerships that continue to affirm the long work of building something rooted and enduring. This is a year that rises from what has been patiently built, an unfolding of the Village into form, purpose, and possibility. We invite you to read the full report and witness how what has been patiently built is now gathering momentum.

2024

2024 chronicles a year intentionally dedicated to pausing, breathing, and recalibrating, a rare but radical act in the fast-paced world of activism. The year saw renewed investment in internal strengthening; revamping governance structures, and grounding programming in trauma-informed and community-driven approaches. The strategic reflection sessions enabled us to examine the intersection of social entrepreneurship, peace, and community building, and feminist care. This intentional recuperation sets the stage for 2025, a year envisioned to reignite advocacy, research, expand our social entrepreneurial initiatives, and amplify the leadership of young women and women in the informal sector across South Sudan.
